Three months after getting married, I fell 20 feet while fixing the roof of our home. What started as a simple job turned into a life-changing accident. My story begins with a skiing trip to France. I was having a fantastic time until disaster struck! I was involved in a skiing accident where I broke my tibia and fibula bones in my leg. I was operated on in France where the surgeons inserted a metal rod into my leg to stabilise the bone and promote healing. Four weeks later I needed to have another operation to remove the stitches.
