I was diagnosed with epileptic seizures when I was a teenager. Epilepsy is caused by abnormal electrical activity in the brain. They can involve jerking movements, loss of awareness, unusual sensations or convulsions. Doctors once told me I would never live independently or be able to drive, and that I would eventually need full-time care. When I began hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) at Oxychai, my seizures was not under control. I went on to complete more than 100 sessions.
