Sleep apnea and HBOT

Updated: May 8

My husband, a 42-year-old man, had been struggling for years with chronic fatigue and persistent grogginess throughout the day. No matter how long he slept, he would wake up feeling exhausted and go to bed the same way. After many years, we finally worked out that my husband had been suffering from sleep apnea all these years, and that was why he was chronically fatigued.

After researching potential treatments, we came across hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) and decided to explore its benefits for sleep apnea. He underwent 40 sessions at Oxychai Therapy Centre, and the results were truly remarkable. His snoring has completely stopped, and he now enjoys restful, uninterrupted sleep. He wakes up feeling refreshed and energized—something we hadn’t seen in years.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurised chamber, allowing the body to absorb much more oxygen than normal. This boosts oxygen levels in the blood and tissues, especially the brain, helping to regulate sleep and reduce fatigue. HBOT also reduces airway inflammation and improves blood circulation, which can ease breathing during sleep and reduce sleep apnea episodes.

We are very grateful to Oxychai Therapy Centre for providing such a supportive and effective treatment environment. The improvement in his health has been nothing short of life-changing.
